On the afternoon of 1 September, Russian occupants shelled Kherson with mortars. They hit a private house, killing a man.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, Censor.NET reports.

The shelling took place around 12:50.

"Previously, the enemy shelled the regional centre with mortars. A private house was hit, resulting in life-threatening injuries to a man. Data on the injured are being clarified," the statement said.

An investigation was initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
