As a result of the Russian shelling of Kherson on the night of 2 October, the Holy Spirit Cathedral and the diocesan administration of the Kherson diocese were once again damaged.

Censor.NET reports, citing the website of the UOC, that this was reported by the press service of the Kherson diocese.

"On the night of 1 to 2 October 2023, during the Russian shelling of Kherson, the Holy Spirit Cathedral and the diocesan administration of the Kherson Diocese were once again damaged," the statement reads.

It is noted that the shell hit the basement of the diocesan administration, as well as the territory of the cathedral, damaging the main entrance, facade, sacristy and utility rooms, and smashing window panes. There were no casualties.

"On 10 September 2023, in the morning, before the start of the Sunday Divine Liturgy, the Holy Spirit Cathedral of Kherson was at the epicentre of shelling by the Russian army of the city," the UOC recalled.
