Zelenskyy presents state awards on occasion of Day of Airborne Assault Forces. VIDEO&PHOTOS
On the occasion of the Day of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented state awards, battle flags, ribbons of the honorary award of the President of Ukraine "For Courage and Bravery" and awarded honorary titles to brigades.

"Today, on the Day of the Airborne Forces, it is a special honor for me to present state awards to paratroopers - soldiers, sergeants, officers - and combat units with battle flags, honorary titles and awards. On behalf of all Ukrainians, I thank the entire composition of our Airborne Assault Forces and especially those commanders who save the lives of their soldiers, and I wish everyone strength and victory - the victory of Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star to Junior Sergeant Andrii Holovko, Senior Sergeant Andrii Vodopianchuk, family members of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine Ivan Banka, Dmytro Shkurov, Oleksandr Leunov.
Zelenskyy presented the Cross of Military Merit award of the President of Ukraine to Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Fisun. The servicemen were also awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of I-III degrees, the Order "For Courage" of II and III degrees, the Order of Princess Olha of III degree.
The honorary award of the President of Ukraine "For Courage and Bravery" was awarded to the 122nd separate airmobile battalion of the 81st separate airmobile brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In order to recognize the combat merits and bravery of the personnel of military units, Zelenskyy presented battle flags to the 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 148th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 135th Separate Battalion of the Command of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The President also awarded honorary titles to the brigades of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade was awarded the honorary name "Halytska". The 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade will bear the honorary name "Slobozhanska". The 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade was awarded the honorary name "Polissia", and the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade was awarded the honorary title "Tavria".
