President Poroshenko has signed the law on the national police.
This is stated in the Presidential Administration Twitter, Censor.NET reports.
July 15, the Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman signed the law "On the national police" (No. 2822) and sent it to the president for signature.
The Verkhovna Rada passed the bill on July 2.
The law enters into force three months after the date following the day of its publication with exception of certain provisions. The part of the law concerning patrol police units in Kyiv comes into force on the day of its publication. The part of the law concerning patrol police units in Odesa and Lviv comes into force on Aug. 20, 2015.
