On January 10, a missile attack on a hotel in Kharkiv on Shevchenko Street caused significant damage to the campus of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (NTU "KhPI").
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the press service of NTU "KhPI".
"12 buildings of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute were damaged, where about 200 windows were smashed by the blast wave. Among the buildings that were damaged: Radio Engineering Building, Evening Building, Electrical Building, Chemical Building, U1, Main Lecture Building," the statement reads.
The university added that the broken windows are currently being covered with flake board. Material damage is being established.
As reported, at about 10:30 p.m. on January 10, Russian troops fired an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system at the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. The missiles hit the roof of the hotel and the area near the facade.
The police said that Russian troops had targeted the hotel in Kharkiv and that all the victims were civilians.
There are 13 known casualties, including a foreign journalist.
