Air Force spokesman Iurii Ihnat said that the destroyed Russian Il-22 aircraft cannot be restored.
According to Censor.NET, he posted this on Facebook.
"It looks like the Il-22 finally reached Anapa. It's fail-safe thing. But, as you can see, the aircraft trough is "not subject to recovery". So, no matter how you slice it, the target is destroyed, so "reanimation" won't help! The plane was on fire, there are wounded among the crew, hopefully, the 200th!
The A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft was and is a priority target for us. And until now, the destruction of this aircraft seemed to be an impossible task for the Air Force. And then the IL-22 (air command post) was also targeted! Two "rich" targets at once!" he said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi confirmed the destruction of a Russian A-50 UAV and an enemy IL-22 air control point.
