New patrol police took an oath and set off on patrol in Odesa on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
As reported by Censor.NET, photos from the event have been posted by the Interior Minister Arsen Avakov on his Facebook page."Odesa! Patrol police is out on streets! Odesans, don't fail to support the guys!!!" the Interior Minister stated.

The ceremony was attended by President Poroshenko, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili, and Deputy Interior Minister Eka Zguladze.

As previously reported, Poroshenko called bribery the main enemy of the new police.
"Police officers, remember, except for crime, your major challenge to overcome is bribe. Should you surrender and take it, you will lose your self-esteem," the head of state said.
