Border guards used a drone to detain three men who were trying to illegally cross the border with Romania.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, Censor.NET informs.
While patrolling one of the sections of the border with Romania, border guards noticed footprints leading to the state border. A drone was used to respond quickly and helped to locate the offenders.
The drone was used to quickly identify the three men and determine the exact distance to them. Within a few minutes, the servicemen detained the offenders.
Later it became known that the detainees were residents of Chernihiv and Kirovohrad regions. The men planned to cross the border using an online map.
Administrative reports were drawn up against the citizens. Further circumstances of the incident are being established by law enforcement officers.
