Russian attack on Kyiv: restaurant security guard and three minibus passengers killed. Business center, metro station, houses damaged. PHOTOS
The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the criminal proceedings over the Russian shelling of Kyiv.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Victims of the missile strike
According to the investigation, on the morning of 18 January 2025, the Russian military launched a missile attack on Kyiv.
So far, 4 people have been killed - a security guard at a catering establishment and three people who were in a minibus on the street in one of the capital's districts.
Damage
The blast damaged the building of a business center, the entrance to the Kyiv metro station, and the premises of a catering establishment. Windows were smashed and the facades of residential buildings and at least 10 cars were damaged.
Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene to record another war crime committed by the Russian Federation.
According to the Air Force, a total of 2 out of 4 ballistic missiles and 24 Shahideen were destroyed during the night and morning of 18 January.
Strike on Kyiv on 18 January 2025
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that on the morning of 18 January 2025, explosions were heard in Kyiv, and the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, reported that air defence was in operation. Later it became known that 4 people were killed in the attack, a non-residential building was on fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district, and there was smoke in the entrance of the building. It was also reported that the entrance to the Lukyanivska metro station was damaged.
The State Emergency Service showed the consequences of the Russian ballistic attack on Kyiv.
A blow to Zaporizhzhia
Censor.NET also reported that the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia, 8 people were wounded and houses were damaged.
