The Russian invaders have started using new attack drones. In particular, two such drones attacked Sumy.
This was reported by the police of the Sumy region, Censor.NET informs.
According to law enforcement, an enemy drone:
- Grey in colour, resembling a small aircraft;
- Two wings arranged in a biplane configuration;
- Electric motor at the rear with a pusher propeller;
- Small, low-observable, and quiet in flight;
- Equipped with a warhead weighing approximately 3 kg.
"These drones are particularly dangerous because they are difficult to see and hear. They don't attack selectively - they just fall from the sky, striking civilian areas," the statement said.
One such drone attack in Sumy caused damage and injuries. Another fell on the roof of a high-rise building but did not detonate. Residents were evacuated, and bomb squad defused the munition and detonated it in a safe place.
Law enforcers urge people not to ignore air raid alerts, to be attentive to sounds around them and to notify law enforcement in case of detection of a suspicious object.
