Prince Potemkin’s Palace damaged as result of Russian attack on Dnipro. PHOTO

In Dnipro, a historic building, Prince Potemkin's Palace, was destroyed by Russian shelling.

This was announced by Mayor Borys Filatov, Censor.NET reports.

"What kind of complete bastards (and stupid ones at that) would shoot at the very centre of the city, at dense residential areas, and in the process destroy the historic building of Grand Duke Potemkin's palace, which he built for Catherine II?" - he said.

The mayor said that the building that now houses the Palace of Students and Youth would be restored.

"But we will rename it in honour of Hetman Sahaidachnyi. The one who burned Moscow," Filatov added.
