German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock received a special award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine during her ninth military visit to Kyiv.
This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha, Censor.NET reports.
Baerbock noted that he met Burbock at the train station in person to emphasise Ukraine's gratitude for her contribution. The minister has become one of the key voices of support for Ukraine in the German government and has contributed to important decisions on aid.
"I presented Annalena with our special MFA award for supporting Ukraine's diplomatic efforts to recognise her personal contribution... I thanked my colleague for her work in ensuring that Germany took the lead in supporting Ukraine - including the latest €3 billion military aid package - which helped save thousands and thousands of Ukrainian lives," Sybiha said.
The minister also noted that the slogan "Be brave like Ukraine" fully reflects Baerbock's determination and courage in supporting Ukraine.
During the visit, the parties discussed bilateral relations, international initiatives to strengthen Ukraine, pressure on Russia and ways to bring it to justice for war crimes.
