The Head of State thanked them for their service and defence of Ukraine, wished them a speedy recovery and awarded them the Orders "For Courage" of the II and III degrees.
The President also expressed his gratitude to the combat medics and presented them with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Princess Olga of the III degree, Danylo Halytsky and the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".
In addition to their daily work in the institution, they saved the lives of Ukrainian soldiers under artillery and rocket fire in Kherson, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions: they provided assistance, evacuated and conducted operations.
"You are very important people to us. Thank you for saving all the lives. Please take care of yourself. Ukraine is grateful to you for every minute, for every operation, for all your time since the beginning of the war," Zelenskyy said.
The courage of Ukrainian doctors and their contribution to saving the lives of defenders was also acknowledged by Mark Rutte.
"You devote your time, your days, weeks, years to this. And we see it. This is extremely important. And this is the difference between Ukraine and Russia. This is the difference between dictatorship and democracy," the NATO Secretary General stressed.
