Ukroboronprom presented new portable rifle "Hopak." PHOTO
New operational-portable rifle "Hopak," developed at Maiak Plant - subsidiary of Ukroboronporom [defense industry state concern - ed.], was presented at the XII International Trade Fair "Arms and Security-2015."
After a series of field tests, the rifle will be supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports citing Ukroboronprom press service.
Rifel's caliber is 7,62x39, with weight being less than 5 kg and fire rate - about 30 rounds per minute. If necessary, the weapon can be equipped with a special silencer.
As reported, Ukroboronprom has recently presented a new large caliber sniper rifle (12,7x109), with effective shooting range being 1.5 km and maximum - over 2 km.
