Ukrainian military engineers continue clearing peaceful territories of the Donbas from explosive ordnance.
The experts of the EOD center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine grant local energy workers access to dangerous sites so that they have possibility to carry out damage identification and repair power transmission lines of the Vuhlehirska TPP, Censor.NET informs citing the ATO press-center.
Consequently, the power will be supplied in the occupied Ukrainian territory in the near future due to joint efforts of the military and power engineers in compliance with the Minsk agreements.
Using a low-power charge, the engineers moved the explosive ordnance to another location on a snow-covered field near Svitlodarsk during severe cold spell. The MOD-2 robotic system tested the explosive device in several projections after that. These actions made it possible to approach the device and record the identification marking of the Russian anti-tank mine.
"We have discovered the Russian cluster anti-tank mine PTM-3, which is activated remotely," head of the EOD squad with call sign Samaran said. "It could have gone off when approached by a car or armored vehicle. Therefore, we have acted quickly and efficiently."
