Censor.NET reports.
Before the attack, the human rights activist checked in at the Grozny City Hotel. A manager accompanied by armed policemen came to his hotel room and forcibly evicted him from the hotel. Igor Kalyapin was surrounded by the hotel staff at the entrance. They started abusing him. About 15 people in masks also approached and pelted the human rights activist with eggs and flour, shouting at him in Chechen.
Kalyapin planned to meet with Ukrainian human rights activists and journalists who had arrived to attend the mock trial of Mykola Karpiuk and Stanislav Klykh today.
It was a manager of this particular hotel who did not let the Ingush and Chechen police officers earlier to inspect hotel rooms of journalists and human rights activists - victims of the attack on the border between the two republics.
