In the framework of Spring Thunder 2016 exercise, the military of the Odesa pontoon bridging regiment underwent a tactical special training ensuring water crossing for the Ukrainian Navy units and equipment.

Censor.NET reports citing the Ministry of Defense.

During the exercises, military engineers fulfilled a set of special tasks under the direction of deputy regiment commander Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Rika. They moved to a defined area, carried out engineer reconnaissance and equipped the site, unloaded bridging equipment, worked out camouflage security activities, guarded the site, etc.

Thanks to their actions, the Ukrainian Navy units and equipment successfully crossed the Dniester Liman.
