President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is holding meeting with his Azerbaijan counterpart Ilham Aliyev on Thursday, July 14, during his visit to Baku.
This was announced by Poroshenko's press secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko in his Twitter, Censor.NET reports."The face-to-face talks with Azerbaijani president have started," he wrote.
After the private talk of the two presidents, they will chair the 5th meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan, based on which bilateral documents will be signed.
They include a protocol of the 5th meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan, a document on cooperation between customs offices of the two countries in the fight with customs violations during air transportation of goods, and a program of cooperation in culture and arts sector for 2016-2020 between the ministries of culture of the two counties.
After the documents are signed, the leaders will make statements for the press.
The agenda of Poroshenko's visit also provides for separate meetings with Azerbaijani prime minister and speaker of the country's parliament.
The president of Ukraine also will meet the Ukrainian community of Azerbaijan.
