The monument to the so-called "humanitarian convoys" coming from Russia is being erected at the entrance to the occupied Ilovaisk, near the highway leading to the border with Russia.
This was reported by one of the terrorists' websites, Censor.NET informs citing Ostrov.
According to Sergei Mukovnin, the head of the so-called "administration" of Ilovaisk controlled by the militants, the monument is being built as a "token of gratitude from the citizens of 'DPR' to Russian rescuers for their support in hard times."
It was reported that a white KamAZ truck was placed on the pedestal today and the workers were landscaping the area adjacent to the monument.
The Russian federation sent more than 50 truck convoys allegedly carrying humanitarian aid to the occupied part of the Donetsk region as of the end of July.
The Ukrainian military repeatedly reported sharp increase in attacks on the Ukrainian troops' positions immediately after arrival of the "humanitarian assistance" from Russia to the Donbas. They believe this proves that Russia supplies militants with ammunition under the guise of "humanitarian aid".
