Interregional cocaine distribution channel shut down: "goods" worth UAH 8 million seized. PHOTOS

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers successfully shut down a large-scale cocaine supply channel from other regions of Ukraine. According to the pre-trial investigation, the organizer of the scheme turned out to be an active member of the notorious Kryvyi Rih "Dvadtsiativski" drug gang.

The offenders established a well-defined logistical network. The high-end drugs were transported to the capital by a car equipped with a pre-arranged secret hiding place, Censor.NET informs.

Details

After successful delivery, the cocaine was planned to be distributed in small and wholesale batches among drug-dependent Kyiv residents and visitors.

Results of the special operation:

During the final stage of the special operation, law enforcement officers detained the key suspects and conducted urgent searches. As a result, the following was seized:

  • about 1 kg of high-quality cocaine, the estimated value of which at "black market" prices is almost UAH 8 million;
  • a vehicle with a hidden compartment for transporting contraband.

Currently, four members of the criminal group have been officially served a notice of suspicion of illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, or sale of narcotic drugs.

The court is preparing to choose preventive measures for the detainees in the form of detention without the right to bail. Investigative actions to identify other potential accomplices are ongoing.
