Vasyl Kvaschuk, Advisor to the CEO of "Ukrainian Armour", noted that this is a completely new vehicle, designed with the real combat experience of the first "VARTA" in mind.
"Thanks to its long range and modern equipment, the vehicle is capable of effectively carrying out tactical tasks in the most dangerous conditions. I am confident that this vehicle will save many lives of our servicemen," he said.
What is known about the VARTA 2?
The vehicle offers a high level of crew protection. Its ballistic protection complies with STANAG 4569 Level 3, whilst its mine protection meets STANAG 4569 Level 3a/3b. Spaced armour, a V-shaped underbody, a floating floor and energy-absorbing elements further enhance the level of protection for the crew.
Thanks to its independent suspension, 400 mm ground clearance, front and rear axle locking mechanisms, and automatic tyre inflation systems, the armoured vehicle ensures stable off-road performance and has high cross-country capability.
The modular design allows the "VARTA 2" to be adapted for various combat missions and fitted with combat modules carrying weapons ranging in calibre from 7.62 to 30 mm. Provision has also been made for the installation of anti-drone grilles.
It is known that unit drivers have undergone training in operating the "VARTA 2" and have familiarised themselves with the vehicle’s main components and assemblies.
In addition, "Ukrainian Armour" will shortly hand over a new batch of "VARTA 2" vehicles to the Ukrainian National Guard, which will enhance the protection and mobility of units on the front line.
