One person was killed and three others were injured as a result of a night-time attack by Russian occupying forces on the Izmail district of the Odesa region. Transport infrastructure was also damaged.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Izmail District State Administration.
"Transport infrastructure has been damaged as a result of the enemy attack. There are casualties. Unfortunately, one person has been killed," the Izmail District State Administration reported.
According to local authorities, law enforcement units, rescue workers and medical staff are continuing to work at the sites of the strikes.
Lorries carrying food caught fire
The Russian strike also caused fires. Eight lorries carrying foodstuffs caught fire, as did some dry grass nearby, the State Emergency Service reported
Rescue workers quickly brought the fires under control.
The State Emergency Service deployed 14 firefighters and three fire engines to deal with the aftermath of the attack. Two people and one vehicle from the local ‘Bagate’ fire brigade were also involved.
The consequences of the attack and the extent of the damage are being assessed.
