On Sunday, Dec. 11, anti-terrorist operation (ATO) veterans took part in a CrossFit competition at Kyiv's International Exhibition Center.
As reported by Censor.NET citing Apostrof, limbless ATO soldiers engaged in the social rehabilitation project "Vidvazhnyi Voin" (brave warrior).

The soldiers took part in intensive training, involving lifting weights, dragging tires and using fitness machines.

The project was initiated by warrior of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade Mykhailo Vashchenko who himself lost a limb in the east of Ukraine. The key idea behind the project is to help other soldiers with prostheses adapt to civilian life.

The project is also intended to help ATO veterans, regardless of their physical limitations, use sport to find a way to independence and a new life.
