At today’s meeting, the members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense upheld a resolution to expel MP Nadiia Savchenko.

The Committee members were briefed by the Security Service of Ukraine in terms of Ukrainian lawmaker Nadiia Savchenko's liability for violation of the law on state secrets. After that they discussed the draft resolution on amendments to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Resolution "On the election of chairpersons, first deputies, deputy chairpersons, secretary and members of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation and election of chairperson, first deputy, deputy chairperson, secretary and members of the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Privatization (registration number 5543), who are proposed to exclude Savchenko from the committee.The resolution was supported by 10 out of 12 members of the National Security Committee. It is to be further considered at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
