Belarus lifted entry ban of Ukrainian poet Serhii Zhadan. DOCUMENT

The Belarusian authorities lifted a ban on the entry for Ukrainian writer and poet Serhii Zhadan.

Zhadan is no longer prohibited to enter Belarus, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Liberty.

"The question was positively resolved and this is good evidence that we have no contradictions between us. I really hope this incident is not a trend but a case," Zhadan said.

According to him, the decision was taken within a few hours.

It was reported yesterday that Ukrainian poet and writer Serhii Zhadan was apprehended in Minsk last night. He had to spend the night in a cell.
