Poseidon-2017 NATO Naval Exercise held in Black Sea. PHOTOS
Between March 5 and 13, 2017, annual naval exercise Poseidon took place in the western part of the Black Sea. More than 1,500 military from Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Spain, Poland, Romania, and Turkey took place in the drills.
As reported by Censor.NET citing ZN.UA, 17 warships, one helicopter, and two express vessels participated in the exercise.The Poseidon naval exercise has been held annually since 2015. Its goal is to enhance operational capabilities and readiness of all participants and to exercise NATO maritime warfare procedures and tactics in a joint interagency, multinational environment.
