Ukrainian lawmaker Mustafa Nayyem, journalist-blogger Denys Kazanskyi and former People's Deputy of the VII and VIII convocations Yehor Firsov delivered speeches at the rally.
According to Nayyem, the activists' demands and collected evidence will be submitted to the Presidential Administration.
"Terrible events took place in the Donbas three years ago. They triggered the outbreak of hostilities and caused death of 10,000 people. The buildings of the Regional State Administration in Donetsk and the Security Service in Luhansk were seized April 6. The Russian subversive group headed by Igor Girkin entered Sloviansk April 12.... Oleksandr Turchynov declared launch of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) the day after the Russians invaded Sloviansk. Three years is a substantial period of time.... This time is sufficient to identify and punish those responsible for the deaths of thousands of Ukrainian citizens. The deaths of 10,000 people cannot go unpunished after all, right?" Nayyem said.
Firsov named many individuals sharing separatists' views, mainly officials from the eastern regions who held offices before the beginning of the ATO and those who came to power after the liberation of some territories.
"Instead of acting in Ukraine's national interests, weaken the Russian-oriented factions, and strengthen the pro-Ukrainian elite of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, Poroshenko's actions in the Donbas are precisely the opposite. Those who tried to pursue the pro-Ukrainian policy in the Donbas in 2014 were just forgotten and left without support. However the unspoken underboss of the Donetsk region is Ivaniushchenko's crony Oleh Nedava. There is no justification for this disgrace," Firsov summed up.
