The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the national police and the military prosecutor's office, disclosed an organized crime group that was engaged in reselling of weapons smuggled from the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.
Censor.NET reports citing the press-center of the SBU.Nine criminals were apprehended in four regions of Ukraine. All of them sold weapons from the ATO area via postal operators. Moreover, the detainees were converting non-lethal weapons into lethal.
During the searches, the law enforcers seized two RPG-26 grenade launchers, 18 pistols of various modifications, three rifles, 12 grenades with fuses, nearly a thousand cartridges of various caliber, 600 grams of TNT, and two mufflers. Moreover, 80,000 hryvnia, 6,200 dollars, and 1,000 euros were found on the spots.











Criminal proceedings have been opened under article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
