Kyiv residents commemorated Crimean Tatars on Maidan. VIDEO+PHOTOS

A commemorative event for 73rd anniversary of deportation of Crimean Tatars was held on Maidan Nezalezhnosti on May 17.

Eskender Bariev, head of Crimean resource center, Mejlis member delivered a speech.

Participants made a Ukrainian trident out of candles, several symbols of Crimean Tatars, as well as contours of the Crimean peninsula and 'No Genocide!' slogan.
