The shelling has provoked massive fires.

As reported by Censor.NET, the ATO (anti-terrorist operation) HQ press service posted on Facebook photos of the aftermath of Berdianske and Shyrokyne shelling in the Donetsk region.

"Yesterday, May 18, illegal armed gangs shelled residential area in the eastern suburb of Berdianske, as well as Shyrokyne. The provocation was committed with the use of large-caliber weapons banned by the Minsk agreements. No casualties among civilians were reported. No Ukrainian positions or soldiers are located in the area," the HQ reported.
