Mass protests summoned by Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny ended in mass detentions on Monday, June 12.

More than 1,000 people were detained in Moscow and St.Petersburg, Russian media and bloggers announced, Censor.NET reports. Against some of them police initiated criminal cases.
