On June 26, 2017, 23-year-old Nadiia Morozova died a heroic death while on a combat mission.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Okny district administration in the Odesa region on its website.

"Resident of Okny Nadiia Morozova was defending our Motherland from terrorists bravely and courageously. During enemy shelling, she received fatal wounds. Nadiia was just 23...


"A little son has been orphaned, and parents lost their loved daughter.

"The memory of the real fighter and a friend, a decent and sympathetic person who has been performing her duty till the end of her days will remain in our hearts forever. Nadiia Morozova will be memorized as a bastion of truth and integrity, as well as tenderness and care.

"We bow our heads in mourning, and extend our condolences to the family of the hero who gave her life for life and peace and independence of Ukraine.

"We will keep Nadiia's memory in our hearts forever," the message reads.

As reported, fighting in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in the east of Ukraine claimed life of one Ukrainian military, and wounded three on June 28.
