Odesa residents held rally to commemorate murdered Amina Okueva. PHOTOS
A rally to venerate memory of assassinated volunteer soldier Amina Okueva was held in downtown Odesa yesterday, Nov. 1.
As reported by Censor.NET referring to UNIAN, more than 200 people gathered on Prymorskyi Boulevard near the monument of Duke de Richelieu late Nov. 1.The rally was attended by well-known local activists, servicemen, military cadets and friends of the deceased. Many of those who took part in the rally were personally acquainted with Okueva. Her large portrait was hung up at the monument while the rally participants put flowers by the monument and formed her name with burning candles.

The people who gathered to pay respect to the murdered participant of the anti-terrorist operation were holding lighted candles, oil lamps, and Okueva's portraits. They were singing patriotic songs, offering condolences and telling stories related to Okueva using an 'open microphone'.








As reported, Okueva and Osmaev's car was ambushed and fired upon at the railway crossing near Hlevakha village in the Kyiv region Oct. 30. Okueva suffered fatal injuries while Osmaev survived the attack.
Earlier, in the evening of June 1, an attempt was made on the lives of Chechen volunteer fighters of Ukrainian Kyiv-2 unit, Donbas war participants Adam Osmaev and Amina Okueva in Kyiv's Podil district. The attacker passed himself as a foreign journalist who allegedly wanted to interview them, got close to them, opened fire from a gun, and wounded Osmaev. His wife Okueva, to protect herself and repulse the attacker, opened fire and gravely wounded the killer. Both men have been taken to hospital with grave wounds. Osmaev is convicted by Russia of alleged attempt on President Putin.
