The investigators currently follow three main leads in the murder of Head of Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in the Severodonetsk city council Serhii Samarskyi, who was found dead on the night of Friday, Nov. 3.
Adviser to the Interior Minister Ivan Varchenko said on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel that the victim perished as a result of several blunt-force traumas to the head, Censor.NET reports."Yes, it was a blunt object. He was hit several times," he said.
Varchenko says the investigators currently follow three main leads in the murder of the lawmaker which include his political activity, robbery, and business operations he carried out before he became a political figure.
Lawmaker's wife Iryna Samarska reported local police precinct that she lost contact with her 53-year-old husband Serhii Samarskyi at about 6:05 p.m. Nov. 2. She told the police she last spoke with her husband at 5:20 p.m. as he was going home. The police launched search operation at once. Samarskyi's body was found with the head smashed in near his house at 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 3.



As reported, a pro-Ukrainian public figure, a deputy of the Severodonetsk city council, an adviser to the mayor of Severodonetsk, Serhii Samarskyi was murdered on his way home Nov. 2.
