Kharkiv region. Situation in Lyptsi

Author:

I spent May 15 in Lyptsi. There is a dam and a reservoir behind me. The Russian infantry is trying to break through in the vicinity of the village, but the built-up clear defense front repels all attacks.

Russian tactics: dense reconnaissance; massive use of drones of all types; weakening the defense with artillery, air and drone strikes; infantry of 10 to 30 soldiers are infiltrating - either trying to find unoccupied gaps in our combat formations to move deeper, or to find weak positions that we like to draw on maps - "observation posts" - and attack them having a superiority in strength. The terrain is conducive to such tactics - many dense plantations allow small groups to carry out hidden maneuvers.

The enemy is currently about two kilometers from the village. However, some units of the 92nd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Charter" are deployed in this area, which are well organized and managed, and our troops now have an advantage over the Russians, despite the enemy's greater number of weapons and ammunition.

It is impossible to convey the motivation and inspiration of our soldiers who are holding the line and fighting the Russians. No one is going to retreat, and the Russian infantry is suffering significant losses

Lyptsi is regularly subjected to air strikes and harassing fire and mortar fire.

The Russians are using a large number of drones, Russian fpv drones are buzzing over us constantly, continuously, and this is not an exaggeration. There are a significant number of crews working here, and it seems that the Russians have received their million drones. We move very cautiously, in small groups, and constantly listen to what is flying overhead, in which direction, what type of drone. Russian drones often spot us, but the dense greenery allows us to hide as soon as we hear a drone start looking for us and take up position for an attack.

Drones are not only on the front line. Russian Orlans and Superсams are constantly hovering in the sky at a distance of up to 40 kilometers, adjusting strikes by aircraft, missiles and Lancets. Enemy drones are constantly over Kharkiv and our defense areas, and this allows the enemy to sometimes inflict heavy strikes. Everyone is asking where our air defense is, why they are not shooting them down. I have a question why at least the warning system is not working - to detect the work of Russian drones at an altitude in our rear and to inform us where exactly the signals of reconnaissance drones are detected.

Kharkiv is covered by our well-organized and highly motivated troops, but we need air support.

Our successes in the battles near Lyptsi are not easy. The enemy learns quickly, draws conclusions and improves, and the fighting at the front is very difficult. Contact battles at short distances take place every day. The battle for the Kharkiv region continues.
