Stoltenberg on F-16 for Ukraine: First training - then transfer decision. VIDEO

At a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Vilnius, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the issue of providing F16s to Ukraine is not on the table until the Ukrainian military has completed training in piloting these aircraft.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Radio Liberty.

"More than 10 countries have already joined the pilot training coalition. This will enable us to make a decision to provide F16 aircraft later. That is, the training will start as soon as possible and then a decision on the aircraft will be made," the Secretary General said.

According to him, such exercises will tentatively begin in August.

Now, Stoltenberg added, it is important to focus on the aid package that Ukraine needs at the frontline.
