On 12 July, an explosion occurred on the territory of the Russian enterprise Sibur-Naftochim in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region. A massive fire broke out on the site, with smoke visible from all corners of the city.

According to local media, there is currently a threat of an explosion at the enterprise, as a production unit containing chemicals and oxygen is on fire, Censor.NET reports.

"There is a threat of an explosion. The area of the fire is currently being clarified," the Russians wrote on social media.

"Emergency services arrived at the scene of the incident. There is no information about the victims. Firefighters are attempting to extinguish the fire and warn of the threat of an explosion," Russian telegram channels reported.
