A plant for the production of air defence missiles was opened in Moscow at the Rudnevo Industrial Park.

Almaz-Antey CEO Yana Novikova said that the concern expects to launch missile production by October 2024.
The Vazhnye Istori publication stated that the Rudnevo industrial park, where it is planned to launch rocket production, is located in close proximity to residential buildings (according to Yandex Maps, the nearest house is less than 500 meters away). Its construction began in 2020.
It was assumed that the technology park's main backbone would be companies in the construction, aviation, and electronics industries. In November 2022, the Moscow government announced its decision to set up a 100-hectare drone testing ground here. In October, the Kosinsky protected natural area was secretly cut down at night for this purpose.
The new missile plant at Rudnevo was built on Putin's instructions "in record time" - in 8.5 months.
