First group (31 persons) of Tomsk ‘volunteers’ was sent to the Luhansk region.

Russian Union of Afghanistan Veterans organized the event. Many of those people fought in Chechnya and Afghanistan. It is well know that such 'volunteers' are being sent to Ukraine from all over Siberia.

According to chairman of Tomsk Union of Afghanistan Veterans Mikhail Kolmakov such groups are now emerging throughout Siberia. "Our authorities call to us for help LPR and DPR people on Red Square. A lot of people came by themselves. So we decided to do it in orderly manner and formed a volunteers unit," Kolmakov said. Orthodox priest blessed the militants to fight in Ukraine.
It was reported earlier that Russian Defense Ministry confirmed death of 300 Russians in the Donetsk airport.
