An air ambulance helicopter crashes in the Volgograd region of Russia, killing the pilot.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to TASS.

"One of the helicopters serving the air ambulance service crashed while returning to the base without passengers. The pilot died on the spot," said a representative of the regional health committee, adding that the helicopter crashed outside residential areas.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the helicopter crashed near the village of Yerzovka, Gorodishchensky district.

"In the early morning hours of 25 April 2023, it was reported that a crashed Ansat helicopter and the body of the pilot born in 1967 were found in an open area near the village of Erzovka, Gorodishchensky district, Volgograd region," the statement said.
