For the first time in Ukraine, a complex heart and lung transplant was performed. The patient is in a stable condition.

This was announced by the director of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Borys Todurov, Censor.NET reports.

"Dreams come true! The first heart-lung transplant in Ukraine has been performed! The patient is stable," he wrote on Facebook.

The operation was performed at the Lviv Emergency Hospital. Todurov noted that cooperation with his colleagues from Lviv has yielded excellent results.
