In the Kharkiv region, near the village of Novomlynsk, Kupiansk district, the enemy tried to seize and hold a bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil River.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the General Staff.
As noted, the enemy even crossed the water barrier with superiority in forces. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders, with the support of artillery and UAV units, drove the enemy from the bridgehead.
"In particular, the soldiers of the 8th separate assault battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade "Edelweiss" cleared the area in the vicinity of Novomlynsk from enemy forces.
As a result of the successful operation, the enemy was destroyed. The right bank of Oskil is under the control of the Defence Forces. Ukrainian flags are flying over Novomlynsk," the General Staff said.
Earlier, MP Mariana Bezuhla stated that fortifications have not yet been built on the Oskil River and on the border with Russia in Kharkiv region.
