Enemy is 2 kilometers from Myrnohrad: police call on residents to evacuate. VIDEO
In Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, about three thousand people are surviving under shelling. Mobile phone service is almost unavailable in the city, so police are going door-to-door and driving through the streets with loudspeakers to inform residents about the evacuation.
This was reported by the National Police, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, this industrial city, which was home to more than 46,000 people before the full-scale war, is now devastated and in ruins. Russian troops have advanced dangerously close to Myrnohrad, turning it into a scorched wasteland. The outskirts have been completely destroyed. The Russians have wiped out businesses and bombed the hospital with aerial bombs. There is no electricity, drinking water, or gas. People fetch water from wells, and phone calls to relatives can only be made from certain spots.
The police note that local residents are afraid to leave, and only a handful evacuate—those left homeless by yet another shelling.
According to preliminary data, there are no children in the city - everyone was evacuated. However, law enforcement officers are checking whether such families have returned to danger.
Evacuation crews and patrol police response teams deliver the wounded to hospitals and bring humanitarian aid, including food and drinking water. They also feed abandoned animals.
Investigative teams are recording the consequences of enemy attacks. They go door-to-door and identify the owners so that people can apply for assistance in connection with the destruction of their homes.
