Last year, 47% of planned goods did not arrive at DPA, - Zhumadilov. VIDEO
According to the results of 2024, the Defence Procurement Agency did not receive 47% of the planned amount of goods.
Arsen Zhumadilov, Director General of SLO and temporary acting director of the DPA, said this in an interview with SEMAAT, Censor.NET reports.
"Indeed, there have been signals that our Defence Procurement Agency is simply not delivering enough goods. That is, the indicator of any procurement or supply organisation is how you use the funds and how you get the goods for these funds.
According to the results of last year, the Defence Procurement Agency did not receive 47% of the planned goods. That is, almost half of the ammunition, mavics, UAVs, etc. They did not arrive as planned," he said.
According to Zhumadilov, this means that there was a plan according to which the military planned its operations and stockpiled other reserves to implement a particular military plan.
"Why did this happen? In my opinion, it happened because people working in the Defence Procurement Agency, in particular, became part of a dysfunctional system," he added.
What preceded it?
Earlier, the Supervisory Board of the Defence Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defence signed an additional agreement to the contract with the current director of the Defence Procurement Agency for a period of 1 year.
However, later, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov stated that the Defence Procurement Agency had failed in its work over the past six months and announced the dismissal of his deputy Dmytro Klimenkov and the change of the Defence Procurement Agency's management.
Later, Arsen Zhumadilov, the head of the State Logistics Operator, confirmed that he would also take up a second position - head of the Defence Procurement Agency.
At the same time, on Friday, 24 January, Maryna Bezrukova said that she remained the current head of the Defence Procurement Agency, despite the Ministry of Defence's refusal to extend her contract.
Subsequently, the record of the director of the Defence Procurement Agency was changed once again in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Instead of Arsen Zhumadilov, Maryna Bezrukova was again listed as the director.
The Ministry of Defence has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Justice regarding the return of Maryna Bezrukova to the post of head of the Defence Procurement Agency.
The Unified State Register has once again changed the record of the Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.
