What really happened in Velyka Novosilka: Commander of 110th SMB speaks about intense battles and leadership dismissal. VIDEO
Soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Lieutenant General Marko Bezruchko defended the village of Velyka Novosilka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, repelling massive Russian attacks for over a month. The soldiers spent a month encircled by the enemy, holding their ground. As a result of heavy fighting, the brigade lost 50 soldiers killed or missing, with many more Ukrainian defenders wounded.
However, instead of recognizing their efforts, the entire command of the 110th Brigade was removed from their posts and is being blamed as the only ones responsible for the loss of Velyka Novosilka.
In an interview with journalist Yurii Butusov on the Butusov Plus YouTube channel, Ihor Tymoshchuk, company commander of the 110th Brigade and Hero of Ukraine, revealed details of the withdrawal and the situation surrounding the brigade's command, Censor.NET reports.
