President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about preparations for a meeting with US Special Representative General Keith Kellogg.
The head of state said this in a video message, Censor.NET reports.
"There have been many meetings today - army command, intelligence, ministers - to prepare for talks with the representative of the President of the United States of America. General Kellogg is already in Kyiv. He has already met with Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi, Chief of the Intelligence and Special Services, and the head of my Office. We are scheduled to meet with General Kellogg tomorrow, and it is very important for us that the meeting and our work with America in general be constructive.
Together with America and Europe, peace can be more secure, and this is our goal. The main thing is that this is not only our goal, but also a common goal with our partners. Especially on the eve of the third anniversary of the beginning of this war, a war that we in Ukraine want to end from the very first second. I am confident that we will end it, and with a lasting peace. And so that Russia cannot come to Ukraine again, and so that Ukrainians return from Russian captivity, and so that Ukraine has a future. This is a normal desire of every nation.
I am counting on Ukrainian unity, on our Ukrainian courage, on our relations with our partners, and on our European unity, and on the pragmatism of America - America, which needs success as much as the rest of us. Success unites. Our unity is what best protects our future. The future is not with Putin, but with peace. And it is a choice for everyone in the world - and for the strongest - to be with Putin or with peace. It is worth choosing peace," Zelenskyy stressed.
