In Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker and, among other things, congratulated him on recently taking office.
Zelenskyy said this in a telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"I met with Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker in Brussels and congratulated him on his recent assumption of office," he said.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine appreciates Austria's support and assistance and looks forward to joint efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace and reliable security guarantees for our country and the whole of Europe.
The parties also discussed continued assistance in humanitarian demining, restoration of energy infrastructure, construction of shelters in schools and kindergartens, and support for the Food from Ukraine initiative.
The President's Office added that Zelenskyy had invited the Austrian chancellor to pay a visit to Ukraine.
