Zelenskyy met with Støre: Almost $8 billion in aid from Norway will be allocated for purchase and production of drones, shells and artillery. VIDEO

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre.

Zelenskyy said this in his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.

"A very warm, informative and productive meeting with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. Norway has been with us on the side of life protection for three years of this war, and all Ukrainians appreciate it," the President noted.

He said that today the parties talked about joint efforts to achieve a decent, sustainable peace for Ukraine, backed by strong security guarantees.

"Also about our joint diplomatic work, specific ways to strengthen our defence capabilities. Air defence systems, ammunition, investments in Ukrainian defence, mutually beneficial joint ventures that we can create and develop. All this will really add to the security of our nations and the whole of Europe," Zelenskyy added.

In addition, the President thanked Norway for its support, and especially for the decision to almost triple the amount of assistance to Ukraine.

"This is almost USD 8 billion, which will be spent on the purchase and production of drones, shells, and artillery. All that will significantly help our soldiers and eventually force Russia to move to a diplomatic track to end the war," Zelenskyy concluded.
