Kyiv bike patrol to assume duties next week, - Dekanoidze

"As for Kyiv, we plan to launch it next week," she said.
Dekanoidze believes that bicycle patrol officers have an advantage over other police officers in large cities as they need less time to get to a scene through jammed city roads.
The police chief says this kind of patrolling encourages better communication between the police and public.
As reported, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, and Kharkiv are to be next cities to see bicycle patrols on their streets.
In Kyiv, the police will use German bikes donated by the city authorities.
