Court arrests former MP Medianyk for two months. VIDEO

Pechersk district court of Kyiv has ruled to arrest former Party of Regions MP Volodymyr Medianyk.

As reported by Censor.NET's correspondent from the courtroom, the ruling has been approved by investigative judge Iryna Lytvynova. She has granted a relevant submission by the Prosecutor General's Office.

Medianyk has been placed under arrest until Oct. 4, for two months. His lawyer said he would appeal the decision.

Earlier, former MP Medianyk was detained in early August 2016. Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko annouced that Medianyk was a defendant in the case of arrested former head of Party of Regions parliamentary faction Oleksandr Yefremov.
